Neptune, N.J., June 9 2016 — WorkWave® Vice President of Talent Management Kelly Gliatta has been named a New Jersey SmartCEO 2016 Brava Award winner. The Brava Awards celebrate the distinguished achievements of 40 of New Jersey’s top women business leaders. This year’s class collectively generates more than $2.83 billion in annual revenue and employs 14,457 individuals. Gliatta and other award winners will be profiled in the July/August issue of SmartCEO magazine and celebrated at an awards ceremony on June 23 at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, N.J.
As Vice President of Talent, Kelly is responsible for the talent management aspects at WorkWave, including recruiting, onboarding, professional development and human resource initiatives. Kelly joined WorkWave as a customer service representative in July 1999, and has held various roles within support since that time, including VP of Support from 2010 to March 2015.
“We are excited to celebrate Kelly’s win, and it couldn’t be better deserved. Kelly has positively impacted WorkWave in so many ways in her 17 years with the company,” said WorkWave CEO Chris Sullens. “Among her many career accomplishments, Kelly built our client services team, growing it from less than 5 employees to well over 30 during her tenure. As VP of Talent, she created talent acquisition, onboarding and development programs that align fully with WorkWave’s core values. As a result of her efforts and her team’s focus over the past year, WorkWave added over 80 new employees while maintaining an unplanned attrition rate below 5%. Kelly is proof that the drive to do great work and a readiness to embrace change can open career paths that may have otherwise seemed impossible."
The New Jersey Brava Awards ceremony is expected to be a sell-out event where more than 350 local executives and guests will gather and celebrate the winners’ noteworthy achievements. Past Brava winners also will be in attendance to welcome the new class of honorees into the Brava community. The event will kick off with a cocktail reception, followed by a video-packed awards ceremony and a final, inspirational toast to the female leaders of New Jersey.
“Brava winners possess the hallmark qualities of successful leaders — vision, passion, compassion, dedication, perseverance,” said Jaime Nespor-Zawmon, president of SmartCEO. “Each winner in this year’s class exhibits these qualities in all facets of her life, from running her business to tending to her family and donating time and resources to philanthropic initiatives. We are honored to recognize a group of women who are truly making a difference in the world.”
