Your Field Service Partner and Resource During This Challenging Time
To our customers, partners, and colleagues across the field service industry,
Over the last few weeks, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant changes to the way field service companies must operate. As a trusted partner to some of the world’s very best service companies for nearly 40 years, WorkWave has weathered many storms and has seen how great companies create success even in the most challenging of times—and we are seeing great companies coming forward now in each of your industries.
Across most of the service industries, consumers and commercial companies are both adopting a conservative mindset. Many are cancelling service calls; some are concerned to have outside workers in their homes. While these are both valid emotional responses, service industries are a critical part of keeping homes, facilities, and our country working. With the right message, we are seeing the best of our customers engage in good conversation that moves past this emotional reaction to the need to continue with services, preventative treatments, and maintenance of critical equipment.
As a partner to these great service leaders, WorkWave is in a unique position to share what is working with our broad base of customers throughout the pest control and other core industries we serve. Please utilize the resources we are providing via our website or call our support line. WorkWave is open and every group within our company is fully operational and ready to help.
The need for service never stops; with a warm winter, pests will soon emerge in greater numbers, consumers will still need their heat and air working, and they will want pools open to practice social distancing in comfort. Once the initial concern passes, that pent up demand will fill the market and overwhelm providers.
Some providers will have pulled back during these times of uncertainty. We have seen after each crisis that we and our customers have weathered—including Hurricane Sandy, 9/11, and the 2008 financial crisis—that some companies don’t make it, and they don’t make it precisely because they pulled back. Great service leaders push harder during tough times to not only protect their bottom line, but also to put themselves in a place to capitalize on this pent up demand that will inevitably be there. Great companies actually do better in the long-term after difficult times, because difficult times put poorly run companies out of business. Business won during difficult times will turn into long-term relationships.
We also know that our technology is the key to helping you weather this storm. Not just because it helps you operate effectively and efficiently—and is likely the key ingredient to helping you capitalize on that pent up demand once it arrives—but because it will also provide the tools that you will need to adapt to these changing times and consumer expectations that are surely changing.
We will continue to upload resources to this website as they become available. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions, or if you have any information that you would like to share. We are here to help.
All the best,
David F. Giannetto
